It took a long time and a lot of persuasion, but it finally worked… the 19th Amendment to the US Constitution granted women the right to vote. The year was 1920-100 years ago. We figured a great way to celebrate this historic event was to create a fabric line honoring the occasion. “Votes for Women” was born! You will especially love the panel… 28 blocks featuring women or quotes by famous suffragists. Use the panel as-is for an impressive wall hanging, or cut it apart for smaller projects. (Wouldn’t it be fun to have a “girls' night” with everyone getting a block to embellish?) Make a statement of pride. Use our "Votes for Women" prints to let your daughters and granddaughters know how important our contributions have been and will continue to be.
Fabric is pre-cut, 1 yard (36 inches). 100% Cotton.
The exhibition Deeds Not Words; Celebrating 100 Years of Women's Suffrage will be on display at the Texas Quilt Museum in January 2021.
